I’m happy to be working on several creative projects now and to be able to share some of these this year. In July, I’ll be reading from my collection “Leaf Looking Through” which is making the rounds of publishers, as well as new poems from my next collection “Well.” In August, I’m offering a Daylong retreat, and at the end of October, a Weekend retreat. The Weekend retreat, held at the hallowed threshold season, when the unconscious is more available to us, promises to be a deep one for writers and visual artists at a lovely art and meditation center in the Santa Cruz Mountains. We’ll draw from the wellspring of silent awareness to connect with our creative centers. We’ll be enriched and inspired by our synergy and nurtured by a wonderful cook. Please look at the
Calendar
page for more information on these events.
Artist Residency
A printmaker friend and I have been granted a month’s Artist Residency at the Jentel Foundation in Sheridan, Wyoming this September for our work on a multimedia project of word and image. The working title is “Memory’s Body,” and it’s an exciting program for us. We’ve each been reflecting for some time on bringing the whole body/mind more experientially into our art, and this feels like a path with rich possibilities.
